Instead of spreading butter on a dinner roll, try this tip from Italian dining: Dip the roll in a teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil. With the olive oil, you eliminate the saturated fat found in butter -- and substitute healthful monounsaturated fats. Oil is high in calories, so use it sparingly.
